Privacy policy.
This policy explains how Apply X handles information in the Chrome extension and on this website.
1. Information you provide
Apply X saves the profile, contact details, location, education, work history, preferences, resumes and application answers you choose to enter. Optional answers may contain salary, work authorization, disability or demographic details. It also saves job URLs, application status, notes, follow-ups, goals, streaks, notification settings and extension drafts.
2. Local storage and processing
In version 1.3.0, this information is stored in the extension storage in your Chrome browser profile. Resume parsing runs on your device using bundled libraries. No account-service endpoint, third-party AI service or analytics service is preconfigured. Local data is not automatically sent to the publisher. Registration, cloud sync and promotional email delivery are not active by default.
3. Job application websites
With the access you grant, Apply X examines page content and application fields to identify supported fields, fill selected details and check for confirmation. It can save a selected job URL; it does not collect your entire browsing history. An employer or job site may receive form data through its scripts or autosave, even before submission. Its privacy policy governs the information it receives. Review your details before filling or submitting.
4. Optional account connections
You can configure an account service. Connecting sends your name, email, verification requests and communication preferences to that service. Authentication tokens are held in Chrome session storage. Enabling sync and choosing “Sync current profile” sends the profile, saved answers and selected resume. Connecting alone does not automatically upload your profile. Connect only to a service you trust. Its operator must disclose hosting, email providers, retention and processing locations. This policy does not represent an independently configured service’s practices.
5. Communications and notifications
Promotional email and email progress reminders have separate optional preferences, initially unchecked. Local preferences do not activate delivery without a connected account and sender. Change preferences under Account. Sensitive application answers are not used by the extension for promotional targeting. Local streak and goal reminders require Chrome notification permission and can be managed under Goals. Timing depends on Chrome running and your settings.
6. Use and disclosure
Information supports application assistance, saved profiles, application records and optional features you select. Apply X does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. The transmissions described here are website form filling and your optional configured account connection.
7. Your choices and deletion
Edit profiles and saved answers, manage resumes, update communication preferences and export local data in the extension. “Clear application activity” removes application records. “Erase Apply X data” resets local information. Delete exported backups separately. If connected, “Delete account and server data” requests deletion from that service and leaves the local profile intact. Erasing local data does not delete a server account; use both controls for both copies. Ask the service operator about backups and retention. Local data stays until removed or browser storage is cleared. We cannot recover information stored only on your device.
8. Security
Protect your device, Chrome profile and exported files. Extension storage is not an encrypted vault. No system guarantees complete security. Optional hosted services need appropriate safeguards. Do not connect confidential information to an untrusted service.
9. This website
The website does not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics or a signup form. Your hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP addresses and server logs to deliver and secure this site. Contacting us by email sends your message to our email provider; use email only for information needed to address your request. We use support messages to respond and resolve requests. You can request deletion by email; legal or security obligations may require retention.
10. Changes and contact
